What our visitors say
Dear Mr & Mrs Heatherington
I am writing on behalf of Ingleton W.I. to thank you for our visit to your museum. We all enjoyed the visit tremendously. The tapestry is outstanding and illustrated local history in a beautiful way. The talk about the growth of the Methodism community in the area was fascinating. Please pass on our grateful thanks to the volunteers who made our visit so enjoyable.

Dear Jean,
I am writing on behalf of the ladies of Broompark WI to thank you and your colleagues for making us so welcome during our recent visit to the Chapel and Museum. We all commented on how lovely it was to sit in the beautiful chapel and take in the atmosphere whilst listening to your interesting and informative talk. We also thoroughly enjoyed looking around the museum and everyone now has their favourite exhibit. I am sure many of us shall make return visits some time in the future

We welcome Coach Operators who are looking for a new and interesting venue for their itinerary.
Our venue is small so parties on organised visits are usually divided into two groups, one having the services of a guide who will tell the history of the Chapel, John Wesley and the Methodist pioneers, while members of the second group are free to browse the Museum. The groups change places after about half an hour. We recommend that you set aside at least 75 minutes for a comfortable visit and please allow plenty of time for travelling.
For us to organise your visit we need to know:
The date of your visit Expected arrival and departure time Size of your group Any special interests of your group Your itinerary for the day (this helps us to link our talk to other aspects of your excursion) Any special needs. Your contact details
Things you need to know about us:
We have disabled access to the downstairs rooms and the Chapel - for those who can’t climb the stairs to view the Tapestry we have large photographs which can be viewed downstairs.
Our toilet facilities are very limited - a stop on the way is advised. We do not serve refreshments, but we can advise where they can be obtained.
A list of places to eat can also be found on the Discover Weardale website.
