Visit
Weardale

Weardale is a great place to visit whether its for a day, a short break or an extended stay. Some use Weardale as a base to visit Hadrian’s Wall, Durham Cathedral or the Lake District but the Durham Dales and the North Pennines have their own attractions which are well worth your attention.

After much effort, the Weardale Visitors Network, a local band of tourism businesses, has created a new information resource, specifically covering Weardale (essentially running from Crook up to the North Pennines). It features attractions, activities, where to stay, where to eat, key local events and much more, and is well worth a look. Click on the banner below to view the new website.

Thanks to Gary & Hazel Coppack for all their help in creating what is really an excellent information resource - which continues to grow and develop.

Weardale is one of the Durham Dales in an Area of Outstanding Beauty (AONB) in the North Pennines. Take a look at their excellent websites to find out more about the area and have a look at our photo gallery.
